  • Cash prize will be offered only on admission for 2 years or more.
  • Cash prize will be adjusted with tuition fees in two years / three years.
  • Students who are already enrolled with IIT Ashram for 2 years programme will not be entitled for KHOJ/UDAN cash prize & scholarship of 2 year academic session. Example: Enrolment for classes 9-10, academic session 2025-2027, not eligible for KHOJ- 2025.
  • Cash prize will be given in two years in two instalments. For example, in case of Rs. 10,000/- (1st Year in the month of Aug.: Rs. 5,000/-) and (Second year in month of Sept.: Rs. 5,000/-)
  • A student eligible for cash prize will not be awarded the cash money in case of withdrawal of admission.
  • In case of withdrawal in the second year (2 year program) the cash prize for the second year shall not be awarded. The other conditions of refund will remain as per rules.

What is the
Khoj Program?

Khoj is an initiative by IIT Ashram that was started by our founder Prof. S R Mishra in 2008. It is a science aptitude test for students from Class V to X. Khoj was born with an intention to celebrate and support students in their studies at IIT Ashram, by offering them scholarships and cash prizes based on their merit. With this program the aim is to make sure that students realize their potential and build their aspiration in taking up high research oriented roles in the field of medical and engineering. Adding to this, the program also aims to motivate students to take up challenging research work and teaching assignments.

Scholarship Rules

  • In case of withdrawal in the second year (2-year program) the cash prize for the second year shall not be awarded. The other conditions of refund will remain as per the rules.

General FAQs

KHOJ is a science aptitude test for students from Class V to X, initiated by IIT Ashram. It aims to celebrate and support students' academic potential by offering scholarships and cash prizes based on merit. Class V to X students are eligible to participate in the KHOJ Exam.
The KHOJ Exam is conducted in two phases. Phase 1 is a preliminary round held at schools, and Phase 2 is the final round for the top performers scheduled on the 6th October and 20th October.
The KHOJ Exam covers key concepts from biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and mental ability relevant to the student's grade level. The syllabus has been updated on our website for everyone to review.
The KHOJ Exam consists of multiple-choice questions. Students answer using OMR sheets, ensuring accuracy and fairness with negative markings for incorrect answers to encourage precision and careful thinking.
Participants have the opportunity to earn scholarships and cash prizes based on merit. The exam also helps students realize their potential and aspire for high research-oriented roles in the medical and engineering fields.
KHOJ alumni have gone on to excel in various fields and institutions. From top engineering and medical colleges to research labs and academic roles, Khoj alumni are making their mark globally.
You should bring your admit card, a valid ID proof, a pen for filling the OMR sheet, and any other items specified in the exam instructions.
Results of the KHOJ Exam are announced on our official website and also communicated to the participants through WhatsApp.
